I bought a 49 Pontiac Silver Streak , the same body style as yours. I was surfing around on here for some tips / tricks / ideas and I found yours , gota say it's real clean ! Real nice ! And realistic ! Was there a build on here of your car that I missed ?

No build that you missed... It has a Mustang2 clip, rack and pinion, air ride, power windows, 10 bolt rear, louvered hood, etc...

I agree, the steering wheel and white walls are in the works. Interior I'm very happy with though, it's super comfortable. Color is a dark brown with some metallic - think Guiness mixed with Newcastle.

  16. How bad was the body when you got it? I picked one up not long ago and its prtty rotten!

Body is in excellent shape.... Very straight, all the gaps are good. The trunk latch/closing needs work though.

I was going to get some Mexican blankets and throw a bench seat in there....but 6 way power seats with lumbar support are pretty nice too.

That sucker looks nice and straight. Is the louvered hood pretty sturdy? I rember wet sanding a truck hood with louveres talk about beat up and bloody fingers.

Id say leave the interior if you like it, your the one that drives it and that's really the point right? Just tint the windows.........If I had it I would like to change the rims, whitewalls, french the headlights, keep the hood shut but make sure that blower whines and motor surges! But id prolly just drive the piss out of it.

Did your car come from Lake Havasu City, AZ? Sure looks like a car that once belonged to one of our club members .....

Yes, pretty solid. I haven't noticed any structural issues with it.

The only things I plan on changing are the tires and steering wheel.... Also, may add a better stereo in it. Other than that, the plan is to drive it...
