Wow. Check out the broomstick b*** on the right. And, to his right, a washboard with a couple of frying pans to keep the groove going. I've actually heard these broomstick b***es played very well. The b***ist with the Chambers brothers played one from time to time and had great notes. Money was tight back in the day, and creativity was needed. Nice zoot suit and skypiece also!

LCM-6 maybe? Light "Mike" boat set up for helipad rather than arty barge manipulation. Antennae configuration on the UH-1D/H suggest a command bird. Wish I could make out what's painted just forward of the crew door.

  20. I'm thinking more along the lines of mother, daughter. Based a lot on the clothing styles. And the look on mom's face says; can we hurry back home before someone sees us ?

This place was located right here in CT on the Berlin Turnpike. It's long gone but the Berlin Turnpike is still a very popular street racing place filled with vintage diners, motels, bowling aleys, etc. Back in the day "the pike" was home to 4-5 large drive-in theaters. It was the place to be in the glory days. We still go down in the cars to the Pike every saturday to watch street racing andgo for a cruise.

I know you said Daytona 1961, but to me,it looks like Darlington. Daytona had more room in the turns, since it looks like the background cars are moving fast, and it's a very clear, color picture, it has to be from a movie, and I'd almost bet on the rare, Tiny Lund: Hard Charger. Even Turner movies/broadcast doesn't know where any records/tapes, etc of the movie are.
