Thanks for the great pictures!

I want to see more of this neat old ride....Looks like whoever built it back in the day was into Indy cars...The radius rod connection is the same way an Indy winner's; split bones attached to the side of the rails with a ball socket!!

Well something is going on with the hamb because it won't let me post (repost) the picture right now, say's to try back later....

Anyway it's the red roadster with the "cycle" fenders....looks channeled but it's not!
Cool car, looks like everyone had a good weekend!

That was probably my favorite car at the show.

It was originally rodded back in 1948.

The sign gave the details of all the owners, and it said that the car was mostly original to it's 1948 parts, including 95% of the interior.

Great pictures. This was my first time at the HRR, had a great time and will definately be back.

Dirty2, Dan, great meeting you, and your daughter. All my little girl can talk about was playing with her new friend at the car show. Hope to see you again. Love your car. I will e-mail you a picture of the girls together when I get a chance.

  7. Belongs to HAMBer "Curator". We spent a lot of time looking it over Friday night at the convention center. Don told us all about the car and his dad owning it, and him trading back for it and all the preservation/reclamation to get it back to it's former glory(hell, he even SCRAPED the repaint off the dash to reveal the original pinstriping:eek: ) Great car with a greater story(family history)---and the right guy owns it now for sure!

    Awsome

I'd love to hear the history behind it, see, I too have a neat peace of rodding history in my family, so I eat that stuff up! :D

Thanks for all the photos! Once you start looking at all the pictures you realize how many cool cars were actually there.

Like Mike said, this little beauty belongs to a friend of Littleman and he has registered on the HAMB but has yet to do his intro. I think after Friday nite, with all of us drooling all over his car, Don realizes how much his ride will be warmly welcomed here on the HAMB...... come on Don, do your intro and fill everyone in on all the details.

It was great seeing all my old buds and meeting so many new faces. You guys all made the weekend a ton of fun. Thanks!

This car was pretty cool also..

Owned by the grandson of the original owner, they stripped the paint and polished the bare metal, then sprayed it with clear. It had some body work done in lead, but very straight and solid. It still had the 40's newspapers for insulation in the doors and decklid.
