OK I may have a deal working on trading my Honda XR 100 r for a Miller 375. It comes with extra electrodes, air dryer for the compressor, and torch attachments.. It is about 8 years old and has been used very little, less than 20 hours.. What are the pro's and cons, and what should I look for on this machine.. I have other Miller products and very pleased with them. I have always wanted a plasma cutter to add to the garage, just never had the scratch, He is asking $950 for, has the reciept for it where he paid $1350.. I just don't know if they have changed much in 8 to 10 years as far as technology.. Any thoughts ? Thanks in Advance, Ryan

I have one, bought it in 2008. I really like it. Biggest draw back is it's cutting capacity. It can do 3/8" if you go slow but if you are looking to cut heavy stuff it won't. I have never needed the extra capacity for anything I have done. I paid about $1300 for it without any attachments, dryer etc. It was what was in my budget at the time and I have never felt like it has let me down.

Plasma Cutters are handy machines. Its probably worth around 750- 850 depending on condition. My esab 500 was 1500 new its probably not worth $600 now. I had trouble with mine last week and was pricing some newer ones. I lost spark, turned around, and it was on fire. Apparently I melted a ground?? Good thing the air hose was close

I bought one a couple yeas ago, dont seem to use it as much as I thought I would. Somehow I dont like the feel of the torch when cuting freehand, probably from using oxy - actylene for so long. I built a pattern tracer and circle cutter for mine, nice to be able to cut clean round circles and duplicat parts. No complaints on the Miller but I don't have any thing to compare it to. would also add that 1/4" is about max.
    good luck JJ
