The HAMB obviously fulfills my need to learn how to "DIY" in terms of trad hot rods but I find myself expanding beyond that...
I like looking at things like; how to build a chopper frame jig, how to build a flame cutter, how to build a round bale feeder, how to build a three phase converter, etc.
This may be O/T and I understand if deemed so, but what other "********" (i.e real how-to)sites have you found that deal with "how to DIY" have you guys found?
I am not talking about "how to tile your floor" type stuff but shop, fabrication, type stuff...

The Jockey Journal and the Garage Journal would be two good ones to start with.

It depends on what you want for DIY, just as the focus here is on tradition and tools to support that, there are myriad other sites, like Metal Meet for metalworking, megasquirt for EFI, Makezine for myriad projects, Instructibles for directions on DIY projects and how toos.

There are more, but I don't remember them at the moment.

    Edit.

    Is it a sickness?

I dunno, does it burn when you pee? :D

There was a lathe post a couple days back. Had a link to a video. The guy with the video has a 4 DVD set for lathes and milling machines. I'm afraid to go down that road! I'll end up with one of those cool scale engines if I get the hang of that!
