Well i tried on the WI hamb area with no luck. Anyone know of any hamb friendly yards around Tomah WI. I will be there in march for a few days with alot of down time. Or anyone know of a master list on the web of yards nation wide?
Search RoadKillCustoms. Yes, they probably come the closest to having a decent, searchable database. You must sign up, but it is FREE.
I drive Madison to Phillips about once a month and there is one I've been meaning to stop in and see. It's located at Hwy 51 and County Road "S" just south of Tomahawk. West side of road. Don't know the name though.
If you want to come a little farther down, go to Milton WI and find Sewards. He is a cantankerous old devil, but has some good old stuff there, and his prices are usually reasonable. Cheers........
zebs by simco i think thats what its called. good stuff there. also jacks auto ranch east of johnson creek.
I was there today. Lots of stuff http://www.oldcarsweekly.com/blogs/salvage-yard-ron/tomahawk-wisconsin-salvage-yard
There's a private yard near Hwy 21 east of Tomah... supposed to have 250 cars... I met the guy who's liquidating the yard for the widow of the owner. Going to visit it soon....
Used to be Arlen Menke's yard... used to call him 50/50 cause that was his phone number. He sold it then it got resold again. The new owner owns a yard in Ogdensburg, WI but 50/50's old yard is only open two days a week (IIRC) and run by Jeff Schroeder (who ALSO owns his own old yard in Omro, WI) Arden passed away a few years ago... he retired to my home town but he kept barn full of NICE parts... Deuce/'33/'34 grilles, sheet metal, etc. His son, who couldn't have cared less for old stuff, had a scrapper come in and junk everything in the barn. I heard he was offered $25K for the parts but he wanted them recycled to help save the earth...
