Stopped at the local auction house on the way to work tonight. Saw this pile of tin was up for auction tonight. So I put a shit bid on it. They just called, I won! Looking at these pictures I'm not sure If I really won. Oh well, got my project for next winter.

Until then, it's yard art! I don't even know what it is. My best guess is a 30 or 31 Chrysler that somebody tried to make a truck out of?

get a Bill of Sale or something to help when you try to register it? has a lot of potential, or just flip it. Ford rearend looks good.

  5. Could be as early as '28-'29 and may also be Dodge, plymouth or De Soto , I want to say that with the narrow profile on the grill it is most likely plymouth or De Soto ....

edit: Also I think Chrysler and Dodge both had the same type swage as top of cowl in the front fenders .

  6. You now own a 1930 Chrysler Series Six also known as the CJ6. It was not a truck in the beginning. It was a four door sedan. Makes for a very cool truck, though.

    Pretty damn sweet

  8. which v6 engine?.... gmc maybe?

  9. Gotta be careful at those auctions. That's how I ended up with a '62 Triumph TR-4 that was held together with zip ties! When I got my invoice from the auction company it itemized the Triumph, and in parenthesis was "SAR". Took me a week before I figured out it meant "some assembly required"!

  10. Close. But no cigar. Never lived anywhere near Sardis. Don't know anybody named Roy.
31Dodger, thanks for the info. Pretty much what I was thinking.

  12. Not bad, it it looks like it has a 9" with a nodular center section, might be worth more than the car!

  13. Small word! lol

  14. Ya, not sure what's up with that. I've only looked at it in the pictures to. Wierd thing is it's got a 4 stud axle ..........

Ford Mavericks came with 8" rear ends with 4 lug axles the first couple years. I'd say that's what the rear end is...

  18. Thanks. I'll take a better look at it and take invetory after I drag it home tomorrow. But I think your right about the rear end.

I'd guess GM 2.8 also. I put over 200,000 on one, no complaints.

Heres a pic of mine. They only made this model for a short period, making that hood and grill damn near impossible to find.

Looks like a good project to me, once you chuck that drivetrain ofcourse;)
