Originally, we were going to build something for the "Prewar Coupe Art Contest", but the materials (and a couple of beers) we had sent us in a different direction. We decided to make a piece for Tuck's fundraiser. We came up with this in a couple nights. Pogo (Wastelander on here) and I collaborated on this one. We used a loaf pan for the body, lifters for the engine, U-bolts for the rad. shell and fingers, old Ford wrenches, dolly wheels, crankshaft pieces from Pogo's destroyed engine, pieces from an old air horn for the intakes, door sill plates for the radiator and valve covers, random nuts and bolts and and whatever was laying around.
Here's some s**** I pulled fromn the bin at work, It's all oilfield related. The 'V' is formed from 2 valves from a V16 Cat industrial engine and the '8' consists of 2 bearing retainers. The cam is from the same engine (1 cam per cylinder), The serpintine belt looking things are actually high pressure (oil) seal retainers from a screw compressor (virtually a really big blower -about the size of an F150). The br*** cage and ball bearings are from the screw shafts. It's about 2 feet tall and weighs about 45 pounds.
