The blocks I purchased from the local store have a smaller alignment hole that my factory alignment hole on the leaf springs so I cant use them. Any ideas out there?

  3. I'd say that if you have a decent drill press & vise, DIY is the way to go. If not, a friend that works in a machine shop is the best option.

  6. With just about every "universal" accessory you will have to modify it to your particular situation.
I have never installed a lowering block yet that I didn't have to modify slightly. A little grind here, a cut to make it fit or drill/redrill the hole so it mates with the vehicle.

I figures it out. There were plates on the top and bottom of the leaf springs that made the alignment pin twice as big, I assumed they were part of the leaf springs. I was able to remove them and move them to where i needed.

Give me a few hours, new shocks will be in today so I can get it off the stands. Also I installed aerostar coils in front, but I bought used ones so that it will sit a little lower.

Your car is looking really good...love the colors...hope you can get the rear wheels off.
I noticed you decked the rear but did nothing to the hood...? any reason you didn't..?
normally on these Mercs the hood scoop is cut open and frenched....

I left the hood close to stock other than shave the trim, just in case the next owner wants to put the trim back on. Its for sale as soon as its complete. Other than a few trim pieces, springs and blocks the car is mainly stock, so that it can be easily returned back to original.
