I'm tired of jacking up my Model As and other cars so I'm excited to pick up my MaxJax tomorrow from Yellow Freight. Hey, Jay Leno has one! I have 9 foot ceilings in my garage and I can't pick up my Model A Ford or the 63 Corvette verte any higher than 48inches which is how high this lift goes. Projects planned are throttle body FI for the 63, put 29 roadster back together after paining, install new engine in 28 RPU.

I had to buy 7/8 inch concrete bits, the impact bit and rebar cutter. I already have the 5/8 inch bits required from my add 40 feet to the garage and build a 20x20 portacachre project of last year.

Some might remember me as the guy "creating drama" when I asked about what would be required to change out a 4sp for a Glide-n-Slide for a numbers matching 63 Corvette. Oh, the boredom of a numbers matching 63. Well, I bought the vette and it now has a 66 Glide-n-Slide which I like. It also has 4 wheel disc brakes, rack and pinion steering with Flaming River steering column and soon to have throttle body FI.

How is the lift working out for you? Any issues. I have 9'3" at the new house, had 14' and miss that, so this is the only thing that makes sense. Did you find any down side. I have a 40 Ford Tudor and and 06 Corvette Rag Top.

Pretty old thread, I suppose you need to go back a couple of years.

  7. Looks cool, but seems like alot of $$ for a lift that only goes 48"......just my 2 cents.
