I have a 59 Ford F100 and we changed out the master clutch cylinder today, bled it and as I sat inthe cab, pushed the clutch in, I was able to freely and smoothly change the gears but when i actually turned on the engine and tried to put it in gear (or any gear for the that matter) it just grinded. So I am really confused on where to go from here. We are newbies to mechanic work so any help would be appreciated.

Not sure about 59 but in my 52 i had to adjust my clutch pedal to allow full depression of the new clutch to allow the gear in or out. Welcome to the h.a.m.b.

Plus you still may have air try pumping. You could be loosing pressure elswhere. If it builds pressure after pumping then looses while still pressed then look for leaks or u may have a bad cylinder
