I am no longer getting PM notices in my e-mail or subscibed threads update notices. I am hoping this returns. I was getting them in triplicate before the changes. Modern tech is fun at times frustrating at other times. Rod
The search function is still not working as it should. It shows older posts, but the newer ones even from a few days ago do not show up on a search.
I don't have any problems with the HAMB, it's fast. I do have problems with the Ford Barn; sometimes, like today, it's so slow as to be unusable.
Hi, Ry, and THANKS again for your tenacity. I wanted to give it several days and, in fact, everything is working just fine NOW, even serch, etc. The ONLY persistent problem I have is that 15 or so posts I made after Feb. 1 are not showing when I check my personal STATISTICS log. Normally, every new post kicks off an old post at the bottom of Page 20. That list seems frozen in time at Feb. 1. That's the only problem, man! THANKS again.
We will have the search issue fixed by early next week. As for the ford barn, it should be flaming fast... It is for me.
The search function has never worked when I'm on my tmobile g2x android phone. It'll pop down but as soon as I click on it it pops back up.
I may have missed an answer..but I have no pictures showing, I must click on an attached image box to see the picture. I tried looking back on threads that I know had pictures showing, but their gone now only an image box remains. Sure makes it slow going when I am trying to look through a thread! Bill.
I made a post at 6:43pm yesterday on the El Camino and Ranchero thread but it doesn't show up on my history. As of yesterday my history was only as recent as 2010 but I thought it was corrected. I was wrong............Mike
To me it sounds like Ryan needs to get here more often as when he gets home all the forums get and and go faster.
There may be anissue with the PM system. I received a notification that I received a new PM onthe HAMB via e-mail but do not have one in my box... As others have stated A BIG THANKS fo rall it takes to keep up the site!!! Tim
uh. categories? this site is quite large, and busy. the fact that there aren't simple categories like "bodywork" and "engine" just blows my mind. I often find myself scrolling thru pages and pages of posts, reading ***les, and trying to keep on task. and no, searching doesn't eliminate the problem I don't throw all my tools into one big box. why do you guys just throw all the threads together? it's very frustrating, and makes this site unpleasant to engage in. especially in the cl***ifieds section seaching renders hundreds of unrelated returns, which could easily be drilled down by simply searching in the proper category, instead of the "everything everyone is selling" section. -- I'm ***uming this thread is the proper place to bring this up... thanks for your time
Just noticed that my new posts are not coming up. I believe that Ryan said it may take until next week to sort out that problem. In the meantime I can tell you that the site is very quick. Thank you for you efforts.
I posted that everything was fine but now my threads have gone from my statistics. Thankfully they are still on the board but I have to looking my 'posts by' rather than my 'threads started by' David
Problem with threads I have started, went from about 20 to 6, on the bright side all my post appear to be intact. Also started a thread in the cl***ifieds yesterday,2/4/12, and it never showed up I my thread list. Not complaining just saying I am also having similair problems. I love this forum and know it is in good hands.
All of my "STUFF" just reappeared........Looks like the server repair elf's (Ryan) have been putting in a lot of overtime ;D
