Yes, often. It is true few of them were keepers, beautiful or a good ride but the same can be said about the car.
when i first dated my wife i took her out in my work car because i didnt drive the new one in the winter, she loved that old wreck and after we married she refused to drive the new one. dont have either car but i still have her ,she is a keeper
Nope.... When I was in high school, (Cl*** of 1981), Z-28 Camaros, and Pontiac TransAms were the big thing. I had a loud, black primered 55 Chevy, so all the gals ran away. Course, I still have the same 55, and the paint is a little nicer, but most of the gals from high school, aren't.
When your High School ride is a met. tan 2wd postal Jeep (with sliding doors and rally stripes) ... how don't you get the girls?? It wasn't fast, it wasn't pretty but it was fun and it was a Jeep. I did have a steady group of pretty girls who did like riding in it and giving them rides home from school was a good thing and always my pleasure (in the platonic sense.)
YES and NO!!! Most of my cars have been fairly rough, decidedly HOT RODs, so unless you have the girl that loves noise and speed, for the most part, I've been out of luck. Ahhh, but back in my teens I had an ace in the hole... I worked for a restoration shop that specialized in '55 - '57 T-Birds, and had a boss sympathetic to the plight of a constantly girl chasing teenager. So Friday and Saturday nights, many times a red '57 with white interior was my loner car! Let me tell you this, driving that to pick up a date, you have to work to NOT end up with another pair of trophy *******!!! Hell, I once fought off a date's MOM using that same trick! It's all over if she see's your daily ride though...
All's fair in love, war and the chasing of young women! 'Course, when you catch them is usually when the war part starts...
