any members of these clubs ( late 50s- early 60s ) still around.

 

The Spark Plugs are actually a MHRA club established in 1955, and most of it's members are in the South Lyons area,... Here is a link to there section of the MHRA websight....

For accurate info about Detroit area hotrodding in the '50s, call Harry McAuliffe. He's been part of the scene since then-also owns a car or two.

 

My old man is a Spark Plug.

 

Accurate yes,..But please respect Harry's privacy,.. and please take down his phone number,.. Harry has been a friend for several decades (close to a half century) and a fellow MHRA Road Knight. And he dosen't need a rush of phone calls.
