Building a 48 Pontiac Aero Coupe and I'm having a hard time time finding reliable sources for quality tune up parts, hoses etc. Any good leads? Car is a straight 8 (249" Flathead). Any good leas are appreciated.
NAPA has SOME parts. Try KANTERS, larger selection and they can steer you to others, J. C. Witney's, Summit-all have various parts. '40's Pontiac parts can be difficult to find, but they are out there.
Car is in Havana del norte (Miami)! I ordered the basics from Kanter yesterday but all of the brake parts I got from them last week were all Chinese so I'm not sold on their quality but we'll see. I need upper and lower hoses, thermostat etc. now... I buy parts for my Fleetline from Chev's of the 40's but their stuff is mostly fake **** too... Front down on dropped uprights, new Firestones, wheels all freshly powder coated, rings and caps polished, rear air and big notch coming soon by Yaril's...
Wow, the Poncho is started to look awesome. I love these torpedo back cars and the stainless ribbed trim from Pontiac is the creme o the crop for me. A lot of chinese made parts, but they are workable in quite a few applications. Keep up the great progress. ~sololobo~
