Very nice, will be looking for it on the roads of the Delaware Valley. Pick me up some Charlie's Hamburgers.
Lovin' it guys! I've had a few runs on it and it truly is 10,000 times better than my last rod. The thing I like the best about it is the banjo and '39 box. It really makes it feel like an old hot rod, not a street rod. I've run a ton of miles on it already and it just feels good. I couldn't have done it without the tech support from all the HAMBers here. Check out the shots from Fall Wildwood with Hardtop57's and Yankee Daves' roadsters, ( both on here), along with some of the other club cars on our club site, (acesandeightscc.net). I didn't shut it off all weekend! By the way, I didn't shoot any pics of the chassis by itself. It's not an origional A frame. I press brake fabbed it out of .125 steel and used origional front and rear crossmembers. All brackets and crossmembers are riveted to keep the "look" and then security welded underneath. I drilled all the factory holes that would be in a set of stock rails, ( you know, the ones everybody spends two days filling), using a junk pair I had as a pattern. It has a homemade X style member I once again press braked, and an intregal trans mount to use a '46 to '48 style trans mount. The frame is step boxed from the firewall back, the engine bay being left unboxed, once again to keep the origional look. Unless you really dwell on it, it just looks like a really nice origional frame.
I got a rolling model A frame coming next w/ Race history in Texas, and I have a nice late 31 roadster stashed....I saw this post and I got inspired again! thanks for posting KOZ! Your roadster is nice.....Love it!...
