Great to see so many great cars, lots of Flatheads and (my next project) Y-blocks. Here's a few more pics. One shows my 77 yr old playmate's '57 pick up with the extended cab-first time out on a "major" trip. Someone noticed that he had a bit of bird droppingson the truck and asked him if he'd seen the car inside painted to look old. "Not yet" he replied. "Well, I wonder how much he paid for the painted on birds--t?" Dunno, but mine was free, my friend answered.
Not everyone who sees it knows, but that red 38-39 pick-up in the top group of photos started life as a Four Door Sedan! Nice job by whoever did the build.
I really like this, but what are the guidlines they go by to be able to show your ride at the jalopyrama? any?
It's inside the armory building only that there are guidelines...I suspect they are entirely subjective, it's done by invitation, and whatever the criteria are they work!
Gary, I think I parked it in the AM and came back to leave later in the afternoon. Too many cars catching my attention. Sorry I missed you. Richard
....Actually Bruce, Jack is correct. The fenced lot is limited to '62 and earlier. The inside is purely the cars invited by Mike to display and you are absolutely right.....the criteria works...beautifully.
Any contact info on the black COE pictured??? It's just what i am looking for! THANKS for your help! Icepick - minneapolis, mn
