Looking at leaving Athens, GA with an empty trailer sometime within next 45 days to pick up a parts car in upper Michigan. Need help with gas costs. I have an enclosed pickup and trailer with winch. Would rather not have to detour to far off the interstate. Heading up I-75 through Chattanooga, Knoxville, Lexington,Cincinatti and Dayton. Email me at 1954buick at gmail dot com to let me know what you might need.

this is me. I think I burned some of my mustache off when I spit that racing fuel on the bonfire. Sure was a pretty blue flame though. Don't you need something hauled due north.:)

    Anybody?

  6. I don't need anything transported, but if you run into any issues around the Detroit area I'm always willing to lend a hand.

Flint actually, I guess that's not really upper is it.

Probesport, man thanks that is very comforting. Only been through Detroit once and that was when I made a wrong turn on my way to the Buick 100th birthday in Flint in '03. The part I got all turned around in didn't seem to be a place a southern boy would want to "run into any issues". So thanks man!!!

  8. I am in between Flint and Detroit, in Rochester Hills. Send me a PM when you know you are going to be headed to Michigan and I will give you my cell number just in case.

I've been on many road trips and I know what its like to end up stranded with your closest support hundreds of miles away.

I worked in Warren and lived at Selfridge AFB for a while in 2005. I was told to go just past Flint to Frankenmoth(spl) to kill a weekend. Town looks like Helen, Ga. and has world famous fried chicken and the worlds largest christmas store.
It is worth going to since you will only be 20 min. away.
Watch the speed limit in Ohio.

    The car is in Otisville.

Doesn't look like the stars are gonna line up on this one though. It'll probably end up goin to the crusher. :(

man that fried chicken sounds tempting...

Well if you do come up this way and need a place to crash coming or going I've got a guest room thats got your name on it. That will help with alittle bit of the travel cost.
