  3. I haven't read it yet, but I've heard good things about the new biography for MT... Mickey Thompson: The Fast Life and Tragic Death of a Racing Legend

Great read!! Just finished it for a book report. Had trouble putting it down. Alot of great interviews with alot of big names. Goes from basically the birth of MT to the tragic death, and everything in between.

My latest: "The Hot Rod Reader" by Peter Schletty and Melinda Keefe editors. Spotted mine at B&N, also available on Amazon.

A series of reprints of old articles and parts of books written from the late 40's right on up through post HAMB times. Interesting perspectives and a lot of new to me historical information......and I've had the gearhead addiction since the mid '50's.

    Rusty1: you looking for picture books...or actual read,think & put-yourself-in-the-situation-with-your-imagination books...???

If the latter, find four of mine on Amazon.com...you'll need an imagination intact tho...and have a new one coming out this month...the first two are about the 1960's...and the first book was started right here on the HAMB...all of them are about weekends of long ago, cars, drag races (legal and illegal), youthful transgression, accidents and rod running...

Unfortunately, I've taken my website down for reepair and to add the fifth new book, but it'll be back up shortly...but like I said, you can find them on Amazon.com
