have this set of what i was told were mcleans that i powdercoated and am running on my roadster pickup , whide whites for tires but unsure if i'll run those tires for long , question is i'm wanting to change out the plain jane centers for some 32 or 34 caps if i go the 34s i will paint the v8 logo red and am toying with the idea of running ribbed trim rings !they are 15 inch wheels ,will it be too much ? opinions wanted , thanks brock

I've always liked the look of ribbed trim rings on wires. Nice pickup, like the color.

Trim rings, it looks like something is missing without them.

You already have a lot of high contrast between the red, white, and blue. I'd say adding more visual eye-catchers isn't necessary.

While I think HRP's sedan looks great without 'em but I think I'd put 'em on your pickup.

I like trim rings on wheels as a rule, but on wire wheels you sometimes have enough of a contrast without them. The cars pictured above with and without all look great so I don't think you would be wrong either way. It all depends on what you like.

Do what we do, lightly stick one on a wheel so you don't scratch it, stand back and make your decision from there. Nice rpu by the way, I have been following your build and it is *****in'.:) And I personally like the ww tires.

I kinda like the ribbed rings and I think I'd put 'em on the inside as well. Just a subtle added touch of sparkle.

  23. I think the truck looks great as it sits.

It's your choice (of course), but I don't necessarily think it would be better with them, just different.
