My old buddy Jeff Hill has picked up all of *****in's tools and patterns and has set up shop in Chino Valley,AZ

He and *****in's old foreman John Lang have started making all of the things you need to fix that old hot rod. Give them a call for first rate service.

Sure be nice if they became an Alliance Vendor, to help support the HAMB. My guess is that response to an Alliance Vendor would be waaaaay better than what you have posted here. Why not have them contact Ryan and get the ball rolling? Stu

Thanks for this. A student at the tech college was asking about them last week and went by the old shop. Glad to hear someone is picking up the torch!
    Got an address?

  6. I'd just like to add a note here that while Jeff picked up the patterns and tooling for the sheetmetal parts from Ron Wheeler when he closed *****in Products, we (O'Brien Truckers) picked up the patterns and fixtures for their three cast aluminum parts.

We have shipped a few of the cast aluminum Optima Battery Boxes and have one 1932 Ford Cast Aluminum Firewall. The Olds/Cad batwings Cast Aluminum Air Cleaners will be ready to ship w/in a couple of weeks.

We'll be putting these on our web site as soon as we have taken care of orders that were placed already and have sufficient inventory to handle all incoming orders. We're in the introductory phase right now.

Here is a pick of an original one. They came with fabricated strap or angle steel legs. I also got a full scale drawing. Not sure if the drawings came with every one?

I have also hunted down *****in aluminum legs that came with thier flat steel firewalls some time back.

  20. Doc Squat - As far as in stock - the one in the picture is for sale.

MilesM - you have one of the early firewalls from *****in. The story I got from Ron Wheeler is that the tooling needed refurbishing when they moved to AZ from CA 10-12 years ago. So the one you have and the one Paul took a picture of are first generation firewalls. The ones made by *****in in AZ (and now by me using the tooling I just got from them) are the second generation with the two extra "pads" and the 1932 in an oval added. There is no recess on the back behind the six pads of the 1932/oval, so any or all of them could be milled off to get a flat firewall.
I've never heard of or seen the full size drawing. I'll have to ask Ron about that.
These firewalls come with two cast aluminum feet that are different than the ones for the sheet metal firewalls. I have the tooling to cast both type and I have several sets of both that came with the tooling deal.

go-twichy - we have no plans for that.

  21. Things progressed much slower than I'd have liked but the way things were split up caused a lot of issues for everyone.

The good news is that I have the battery boxes in stock and ready to ship.

:)Heads up on the *****in sheet metal parts, Jeff of Absolue Sheet Metal is taking some stuff to the L.A. Roadster Show, 32 ford fire walls both big and small block with the front floors for same as well as some universal front floors. He will be bringing the new subrail extension for tudors and five windows. He is working on the prototype subrail and hopes to bring at least one for everyone to look at. Jeff works a full time job and does all of this in his spare time:) He is also trying to get his catalog together and will have a sign-up sheet and will mail you a free one as soon as they are done. He will be set up out in the swap area and will deliver free what ever you order beforehand.

Give him a call and order up!! 1-928-237-7588

He will be signing up as an alliance vendor real soon
