Very cool, wonder what the numbers were?

Sure didn't sound like a 4 cylinder, did it?

Sweet sounds indeed, I was so fortunate to see offy powered sprinters in the 50's of U.S.A.C. at the Nebraska state fair. They were billed as "The Big Cars" wicked fast and and wicked sounding, those were the days, no roll cages and only a small roll bar behind the driver, just scary when they went over the burm or thru the wood wall. Very exciting to say the least. Thanx for showing this cool test, awesome! ~sololobo~

That is "Mighty Active"!! As Bill Robertson used to exclaim. Loved the alky flames.

I once went to that shop with another HAMBer. I have never seen such incredible things sitting around... These guys really know what they are doing!

Thanks to the-rodster for posting this! I wondered why there was such a big jump in views.

The power was Adequate! - Stewart doesn't like talking about numbers.

For anyone interested I posted a video of a twin turbo Boss 429, on Van Dyne's dyno, today http://youtu.be/hiBhqyZ2EhQ

I saw my first big car race at the Iowa State Fair in 1936..Offy (might have been a Miller)number 9 won.
I have been hooked ever since.

Sorry, no pics of the car. All Stewart gets is the engines. Many of the Offys he rebuilds/restores are going into Indy Roadster. Some are for Street Roadsters.
