Anyone know of a tire shop who still has one of the old tire grinding machines in Missouri/Kansas/Oklahoma/Arkansas? Wanting to make some skinny whites into wider ones.

I know there's tons of information and videos on how to do this, but I've never had much luck doing it on my own.

Let's bump it and see if anyone from the weekend crowd sees it. I dunno, may not be anyone around here that does it anymore.

Correction Sand Springs, they "trued" a pair of tires on the front of my roadster, not sure they "shave" wide whites.

oops. No problem. I'll call them on Monday to see if they buff sidewalls for the WWW.

Still looking at getting this done if anyone knows of a shop.

Anyone know 60srailjob on here? He and I traded some PM's a while back that sounded like he might be able to do this in the Tulsa area. Just sent another PM but his inbox is too full to accept anymore.

is it safe to cut the sidewalls of a tire? seems like it would weaken the tire.
