Rusty Nuts Car Show - Waihi Beach, New Zealand

I'm always thinking of ways to push the boundaries of the events I run...
Here's a new car show held ON Waihi Beach, New Zealand today. Yes - on the sand with the Pacific Ocean as a back drop. We had a 4 hour window with the low tide.

Was a great day... beautiful scenery, brilliant live music and a great mix of cars. No prizes, no egos, no issues!

Yeah, I know about the USA club.... But I actually got the name for the show from a T shirt I brought in Oatman, Arizona last year - "Rusty Nuts Hot Rod Shop". A $5 bargain at that too!

We've had a pretty wet "summer" here in New Zealand, with many events affected. We actually postponed this show from eary January and were lucky this time - the weather wasn't perfect, but at least it didn't rain!

 

Dirt track racing, car show on the beach, damn... I gotta make it down there sometime.

 

Looks like a great show at a typical NZ beach, not so typical with the weather. Still waiting for some summer sun. Still looks like the b*** player got some sand in his shorts though.
