Our car brotherhood made the trip to K.C. yesterday in brother Bill Putnams uber cool Sports Coach Deluxe. What a blast we had on the trip, at the show, and visiting our sisters and brothers at their bad *** club shop and seeing projects in the works, a plethora of minibikes and mini scooters, complete with some full size rockin bikes. Some nice drinks, and burgers and K. C. hospitality. Plus we were able to bring home Rob Lees "Jaw Dropper" six foot sculpture trophy awarded him at their Greaserama labor day show, the six foot dandy couldn't fit in the Hot Rod Lincoln with Rob and I. My old reliable mount Rusty the Ranch Wagon had spit up another ****** on the way down so unfortunately we had to wait for another opportunity to claim the cool prize. Really enjoyed the hang out at the clubhouse and at W.O.W. show in the hip traditonal rod section. WE saw the Jetter's caddy and the Colorado crews great display. The W.O.W. show offered up some way cool eye candy and we had a blast celebrating Rob Lee's birthday with the brotherhood on the adventure. My camera threw a rod so I didn't get any pix. ~sololobo~

I was working with my camera and did find a shot or two on it from our trip to K.C. One is birthday boy Rob and **** helping prepare a gourmet breakfast in the "p***enger cl***" of the Sports Coach and then our Los Punk Rods girlfriend Trix Saum's cool and much fawned over patined Henry J. A shot of the space ship telebeam hood ornament as well. Also a smokin 57 Ranchero of the Los Punk Rods that had people drooling as it had a 4-sale tag on it. Buckets of fun!! ~sololobo~ -------must add a p.s line on here. So brotherhood art director **** Warsocki, Xderelict, brought a pair of 32 Chevy doors and a radiator grille shell with us to rendevous with the buyer. We are concerned where we are going to park our oversized Sports Coach, we pull into a lot and are advised it is a city lot and park right here. We call the prospective buyer and they are sitting in the SAME lot about twenty feet away! Good Karma goes a long way kids! Bingo, deal is done!

Trix, a special Thanx to Ryan for all his exceptional attention and hospitality. Hank rules, the Henry J created a lot of broud smiles and cooing over it. Pick-o-the-show for our gang! ~sololobo~

Of the few things I miss about Kansas City, WOW at Bartle Hall is toward the top of the list. But then again when I was gone from Omaha I missed its World of Wheels as well...at least the ENWI Car Council's Lincoln Swap Meet is in a few weeks.

I think this year was the year of the Donk ride, I think they took up about 1/4 of the show. there were still come cool cars there, but WOW is getting more and more gay every single year. wow you have a stock fox body with faded *** bumpers, real cool.... or your stock corvette with fake carbon trim all over the ****ing place.... or you brand new bone stock mustang with some skulls air brushed under the hood, there i covered half the cars in the show. Despite there being some cool cars there, it took me less than 30 minutes to walk through.... well spent 17 bucks.

  19. You sound a little like what I wrote in the article. I agree, there was some bad stuff in there, but I still wouldn't miss going just to see the good stuff.

ahhh I didn't see the link to your article at first... we do seem to share the same feelings about the show. i'm starting to view the WOW as just a chance to hang out with a few like minded people.... though the after party in the bottoms was a bit better for that. maybe I'll enter my hubcapless, duct tape holding on some trim, toyota echo in next year as a custom survivor.
