Rear window install in 40 Ford PU

Hey does anyone know when installing rear window gl*** in a 40 Ford PU is it easier to install it inside out or outside in?

 

They only go in one way, and if I remember right gl*** is on the inside and you roll the rubber with the rope from the outside.

yes my 41 has one, very popular in Canada, it is in the Canadian parts book but not in any US book I have or know about. I have some pictures of an original installation in a 47 truck

 

my 47 also had the factory sliding rear gl*** i dont have pics of it
