Love that look when chrome is still nice and bright but just very slightly faded with age and lost some of the bling. Shame mines nothing like that:(

A very special, to me dropped, filled and chromed axle from back in the day. The backing plates are old 50s chrome. I love the chrome with the very fine scratches in it from years of use. I much prefer old chrome with character than the perfect stuff of today. I have a great set of shortened and chromed F-1 front shock mounts that the seller told me he had on his Deuce 3W back in the 50s. Sorry no pics.

I bought this with no use for it in my head. Ive seen these before but never plated.

Well, havent had time to post lately on the Hamb with all the house renovations, and coaching basketball, but I love some old chrome. I guess you could say I hoard it, but I do plan on using this stuff in the future!

when I built the Lazy 8 I used all old chrome. The only new chrome on the car is the spindles and dropped steering arms...

The first pic is an engine I asembled with as many old chrome parts as I could afford. It maches the rest of the car. The second pic is a V8-60 axle I picked up a year ago.

I love old chrome stuff too, and have an ever expanding collection. Mostly flathead parts, but I try to find Ford suspension stuff too.

There was an old chrome Hurst mount for an early Chevy V8 for sale on here a while aback and I just missed it! That would have been so nice in my A.. :(

When I started on my sport coupe back in the early 90s I knew nothing about 97s. I called Jere Jobe to get some rebuilt carbs. He would not build one without a core. I said I have 2 chrome ones and he said oh I've got plenty of the chrome ones for hotrods, it's the originals that I need for the antiquers.:D So I sent him 2 plain ones and got 2 old chrome 97s back. Such a deal! I'm thinking it might not be the same situation today.

What a cool collection of bits, love it.
Here's some pics of the chrome on my coupe, now I know its not as old as some other stuff here but its not excactly new either.
Apart from thr front and rear shocks and front spreader bar all the chrome was done around 1978.
