Hi, All Im new here (1st post)

My 56 Ford F100 has a 78 Camaro clip in the front. I bought it from a relative. Its too low for my liking and feel better if it was a few inches higher.

Does any have any expirience with replacement spindles or modifications?

WHat are my options for raising it a few inches?

Check the springs against a stock set. They may have been cut to drop it down.

A good front end shop will sell you aluminum spring spacers. They fit under the spring, and a one inch spacer will raise the truck two inches.

If you have dropped spindles replace with stock ones, bigger tires, heaver springs. Are you hitting at the crossmember near trans,if so cut it out and replace with aftermarket one.Thats the lowest place.

    Thanks for all the replies!

No they are the factory (78 Camaro) spindles and springs. Im not hitting anything just worried that if i get a flat im running the risk of crushing the fender. Its a little less than 4" from the ground. The heavyer spring arroach may help. DOes anyone make lift spindle for 78 Camaros?

Let the air out of a tire and see what it looks like.

I like it as-is, too, but if you MUST get it higher the spring spacers will do it pretty easily.
