Hello all, I'll usually lurk around the HAMB a bit but just signed up the other day, not sure why I haven't before. I run a small shop in the middle of NJ usually building late models but bought myself a '62 880 Custom last year. It had been sitting for 18 years, but a quick tune up, gas tank repair, and tires it was on the road again. I'm the 3rd owner, first was a WWI vet (still has his sticker on the rear window) and 2nd used it as a daily driver. The car needs plenty of work but its a blast to cruise in. I had some GM Victory Red left over from a job so I used that on the rusty wheels and threw a blanket inside so I can drive it without the seat puking its guts all over me. Also is a pic of it next to pops '57 wagon, and you can also see the roof of the '69 Jeepster plow truck that we use every winter. Enjoy..
Here's a late welcome but-welcome! Nice ride, looks like my cars big brother! Nice to see another Jersey member!
BTDT, freaking out about water spots, scratches, not sleeping while on display because of "what if's", etc. Big buck investment that cannot be driven, now I build daily drivers for myself and others, pure enjoyment with cars again.
8 months from the intro to finally getting welcomed? where have you been? sorry about the late welcome's but ....better late than never WELCOME FROM SUNNY Southern CAlifornia
