Hi my name is David I am 27 years old and building a 1930 Reo flying cloud that was made into a pickup during the great depression. I have done all the frame work ( boxing, motor mounts tranny mounts, buggie rear, latter bars, 55 chevy rear end, 283 Chevrolet, channaled 9 in" build the floor. It's looking good. I just found a 1948 ford in a junk yard that nobody was aloud to touch forever " off limits"!! But the junk yard is scraping and good timing got me the hole front axal for $100!! I was pretty happy about that. So that's where I'm at now figuring out how u put those 48 brakes on my 1936 model A front end. That and there was some broking springs for the brakes trying to figure out if anyother ford internals will work for them since napa can't get them... Thanks
1936 model A front end?.....I would like to see a shot of that....Sorry, had to call it out. Welcome to the site, should find a lot of good info here.
Hi David, I have a 1932 Reo Flying Cloud Coupe. When I got it,didn't have all the pieces for the front axle assy., so I installed one from a 1958 Ford Pickup. Worked out great for my project. I overhauled everything, so its like a new axle assy. Steers easy like power steering.
