Stumbled across this and thought it was pretty cool........Completely scratch built 1914 Model T........... http://www.scalemotorcars.com/forum...ch-built-stock-ford-model-t-1-8-th-scale.html
I'm a member and moderator on that site.... Last time I looked anyway..... Lots of very cool stuff going on over there...
Holy ****. That is unbelievable! Some 1/1 builds don't touch the skill that this guy shows in a little car build.
I wonder what the guys 1:1 scale car looks like? With as much attention to detail as this guy has he would build a heck of a full size. Also a very talented machinist.
Very cool. Here's another excellent 1:8 build thread, just more on the French side. Guy made a body buck to form the body panels: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1070964
I just got a strange feeling I should just slash my wrists and end it all before I screw up any more 1:1 stuff. This guy has definitely made a pact with the devil to do this and keep his sanity. Frank
thats an awesome model and the websites pretty cool to had to bookmark it , thanks for the heads up post
One of my members just sent me the link to this thread. If you guys like those builds your love these. The first is the famous 1910 Model T Racer. The 2nd is an on going XKE build from the same builder. He's using his 99.9 point concours d'elegance car as the subject. http://www.scalemotorcars.com/forum...-1-8th-scale-model-t-racer-build-journal.html http://www.scalemotorcars.com/forum/large-scale-cars/18825-br***-build-1962-jaguar-xke-roadster.html
Back in the day, I had a tweaker friend who used to make stuff like that out of wire he stole from his job. He worked for the phone company. Blew his brains out some time ago.
