I need to use a short 17 inch column in my 36 to keep the dash position right.
The shorty column has a 1 inch DD shaft end to adapt to the steering shaft linkage.
The only column mounts I find seem to be either 2 inch or 1 3/4 ID.
Anyone know of plastic or br*** bushing that could reduce this type of mount to
either 1 inch or 3/4 inch?
Still working out the final linkage to the steering rack.

Still working out the final linkage to the steering rack.
Thought about drilling the firewall/floor hole only 1 inch and using a rubber
grommet but that means brackets for a rod end or something substantial on the inside when it would be much simpler to just sleeve a standard floor mount.

    Ideas?
Found some posts for some homemade ideas but none seem to fit my problem.

Speedway has a swivel type bearing flange mount ( similar to above) for running 3/4" shaft through floor/ firewall. Used in race cars mostly. You could cover with like a shifter boot.
