Mama, I'm home. I come from a small community in northern Alberta, Canada. Up here, it's all about farming and oil and snowmobiles. Which is understandable, given it snows about %75 of the year. But somehow, I grew about reading every car magazine I could get my hands on and spent countless hours finding things in farmer's "junk" collections. Four-barrel intake! Score! There simply nobody up here who likes traditional rods enough to do anything about it, and the supply of vintage tin around here is close to nonexistent. However, I did manage to find a '29 A rusting away in a farmers field that I can have for free, which is good since my budget is about half a shoestring. Due the lack of funds, I'm going to have to use what parts i have and they aren't exactly what I would like to use. Short list: mazda truck frame, 390 FE and C6 trans, AMC matador rear end, and the '29 that will be channeled over the frame and shorted into something resembling a t bucket with no roof. Am I nuts? I think I've found a community that help point me in the right direction. Here's to hot rods and people who build them.
Snow and snowmobiles are good. Send some snow this way if you have extra. Welcome from balmy northern Minnesota!
