Hey Don, your bobbed off grille looks a lot like the one I have. Mine came off a dark green metalflake 3W that was probably 1st built in the early 60’s but parted out in the 70’s. It had a rolled pan in back as well as in front which the bottom of this grille followed. The top of mine has been filled and leaded in before being chromed.

Anybody know what these master cylinders are from? The chrome one needs a kit, but have no idea what to look for. Valentines 2012 020.JPG

He was selling an old chrome V8-60 axle alone a couple weeks ago....might be the same as this one....I bid it up to $600 and didn't meet reserve.

Then after posting a wanted ad here looking for a V8-60 axle, he sent me a PM saying he'd take $750 for his axle......I couldn't do it, I have bills to pay! But it was hard to turn down...

I bought a fully polished, chrome-ready one instead.

old sprint headers were a little blued and the draglink was made from chrome shafting from a hydraulic cylinder...
would much rather find old chrome even if it needs some TLC rather than pay for the lousy modern chroming..

Street Rod Nationals, 1977, at the KOA west of the city. I'm a couple days early, so I wander out of my tent, through the scrub trees, towards a field about 100 yards away. At the edge of the field I see a small pile of junk-cans, bottles, garbage, and a perfect, chrome, 40 Ford dash under it all. It made the rest of the trip in my 37 pickup. One never knows where you will find things.

30-31 chrome cowl bought off a fellow HAMBer some time back, any info? Just garage art? Pinstriping by Scratch...
It is going on my channeled 30-31 roadster , 392 powered, turbo 400, Radirs, pie crusts. I have always been a muscle car guy, but decided to get the roots of things with the help of the Slick Devils car club of Cleveland Ohio.
Its slow going as funds and time are limited, learning quite a bit by doing

Cal custom scoop, chromed fuel pump with original early 50's chrome. came off of a 51 or 2 carson topped full custom chevy that used to roam around San Francisco in the 50's. Supposedly alot of the body work was done by Bill Hines, at least thats what the guy I bought the parts from says (He owned the shop that unfortunately "updated" the car). The fuel pressure regulator is off of the same car and was chromed, apparently like every other part on the 6 cyl. Anyone know this car? Second pic is some of the old chrome on the dash of my 50, sorry bout the dust.
