I heard that the 61 to 63 fenders will not fit a 60.... Any truth to this?

I think 60-61 are the same, definately not 62-63. (unless you are going to change over to a 62-63 front end)

I know the bumpers are different since the turn signals were moved to them which required a cut out.... Is that the only difference or is there problem with the grill and such as well?

The 60-61 grilles are interchangeable even though one is concave and the other isn't. The 62-63 grilles won't fit your 60.

I take it you have a 60 Falcon? Damaged front end and having a hell of a time finding a fender?

60 and 61 are the same, 62 and 63 are the same.

i've seen the front sheetmetal swapped on a couple of Falcons like this... the contour of the sheetmetal from the shock towers forward is different and the core support is shaped differently. if you really want to do it right, take the core support, front aprons and ALL the sheetmetal from the donor car and use it to replace the parts on the project car. be aware that the wheelwell flare is shaped differently on '60-'61's and '62-'63's; it will be noticeable front to rear.

now... if you really want to shock the troops: swap over a Comet front end.... that'll keep 'em guessing.

yup, got a 60 ranchero, fenders are halfway straight, but they have A LOT of bondo around the headlights. Damn 60 fenders are impossible to find, and when you do, they are damn near 200 bucks for one in not so great condition.... I've thought about just going to fibergl***, I've found a company that makes them for the 60's, but once again, they are super pricey.

That's too bad, but it would seem the expense and PITA of swapping to a different year makes getting the fenders you need not so pricey. Hold out a nd work on the other stuff, your ship will come in, just be sure to keep your eyes peeled.

well... this guy isn't super sure. his dad p***ed away and they were just in his dad's garage and they are trying to sell some stuff off... he has no idea, he said he thought they might be for a 61 to 63, which I have learned tonight isn't possible. they are off the car, is there anything I can ask him that would tell me if they were for a 60-61 or a 62-63?

here's the picture he posted of it:
