Born and raised in detroit. both grandfathers retired from ford rouge. Always wanted a flattie. I finally made it happen and pick this up on friday. Been reading HAMB cl***ifieds for years. my buddy Ken has a '32 v8 pickup up near seattle He kept encouraging me to go for it. I did a bunch of go fast stuff on 302's before but thats been a while back. This 53 has a 20 year old restoration on it but the fellow who owned took really good care of it. I want to drive it for a year and figure out my priorities. Its almost a shame to touch this because it has been kept so correct and stock. My first impressions are that it'll be wanting a little more go and a little more stop by the time I finish.
