I'm looking for a bench front seat for my '48 coupe. I need something with a low back and that is adjustable on tracks with a seat back that tilts forward. When I was in high school, '88-'92 (ish) Chevy truck seats were brand new and a dime a dozen. Finding a good one now seems tough. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Jim
I had a mid 80's Jeep Commanche pickup bench in my 46 coupe for a while. It fit really well. It is a solid back bench, but the whole back tilts forward so you can still access the back seat area. Only thing is it has a cut out for the floor shifter, which may work to your advantage. I have since located a nice original for my car, so I have no use for that one. Pm me for details. Matt
46FF, do you have any photos of that Jeep seat? Tommy, the Ford you linked to is more what I'm talking about. Wish he wasn't so far from here. I like the split back with seperate tilts. I'll have a back seat in my coupe as well so it would vbe nice to be able to tilt either side without tilting the whole seat back. Thank guys, Jim
I currently have a bench seat from a ford ranger in my 48 sedan. Just about the right width. Planning on replacing it with the original once it is recovered.
