Might be enough there to build one. Frames are liable to be weak, but don't let the naysayers who only see s**** give you a complex.
All old tin is good, some is just better than others. I bet you will get a lot of good stuff out of those, and maybe even one worth doing. Don
Oooh, I bet I know where they are!!! Good on ya Ty, save those puppies. I'd build the dump just to be different, I spread a few driveways around here back in the '80s with a '46 Chevy dump, fun fun fun!
theres a place like that in michigan, about 30 acres filled with 1920s to 1960s cars trucks and stuff. hes charging s**** price too. problem is that the stuff is so sank into the ground he says that if you try pulling them, they will break in half. gotta digg them out first. cool find.
Two '37s and a '39, worth more than s**** price. The only body parts on the '39 that will fit the '37s are the windshield frame and the rear window garnish molding, but you should be able to sell the '39 whole or sell enough parts off of it to help you concentrate on building one good '37. The '39 windshield regulator is a one-year part that also fits '39 cars, good ones that are not stripped are hard to find and nobody reproduces them, so if that '39 truck has a good windshield regulator, right there is some cash in your pocket. ('37 and '38 cars and trucks use same regulator, '39 uses a different one that puts the knob up on top of the dash--an obvious safety improvement if you're thrown against the dash in an accident).
The first is 37 ,second 35-36 has flat winshield, third is 38-39. Lots of parts to pull of if you leave them there.
Good score! Funny how everybody cries about how there is no tin left, yet people just look in their back yard and find stuff...
