My father and I built this 392 HEMI powered '49 Ford back in the 80s and I'm wondering if anyone knows its current whereabouts. Dad sold the car to a collector in the St Louis, MO area back around 1992.

I think I've seen every shoebox in this country, but not that one - sorry.

Lived in Wi. 60 years & been to a lot of car shows & I'm sure I'd remember that 49. What part of Wi is it from. I'm 40 miles west of ***le town.

The car was built in Cottage Grove which is a suburb of Madison and Dad attended most every show in southern Wisconsin bitd, but like I stated earlier the car was sold to a collector in St Louis in the early 90s. It was quite unique with its radiused and subtley flared rear wheel openings so I'm hopeful that another HAMBer has encountered it somewhere. The Fine 49 had a beautiful silver / gray fabric upholstery job utilizing '65 T Bird buckets and clamshell rear seat with maroon flame inlays and piping.

I have lived in CG since mid-80's. I remember this car but don't know what happened to it....I ran a grey '41 Ford 2-dr sedan at that time...did the Black Bear car show a "few" times.........was this car Buckley's?

This was Dennis Buckley's car and our club, the Cruisers Unlimited, hosted those Black Bear Inn shows bitd. I remember your '41 Ford very well.

Those pics would be from when the new owner had purcased the car since we never had a license plate mounted on the front pan. Do you know what year those pics were taken? I like the look of new owner's chrome wheelcovers on the car.

    Thanks

These are some earlier pics of the car with blackwalls and Keystone mags. I preferred this look over the whitewalls but I remember that most others preferred the whitewall tires and Moon discs bitd.
