"Metro Sled" as built by Tomy's Custom Cl***ics, that sequence of pictures was taken a few blocks from my house.

Yes, it was a functioning sled, I saw it most at shows as a promotional display for Tommy's, IIRC there was a salmon colored Pro Street Metro with a BBC in the last display I saw the Metro Sled in.

Yes, very cool and it still had seating for two (you and your best girlfriend). :)

Can't help thinking white is not the best colour for a snowmobile!

    "Where'd I park that darn thing?" :D

The Hannibal 8 is or was recently up for sale and was/is in Illinois. I dont recall the price but it wasn't astronomical but yes pricey. It was Corvair powered and it came with a couple props including the torpedo and rail rocket thingy.

the white "Snow rod"Is really a snow tractor used by the army in the artic the original purpose was to rescue downed pilots and crews there were all white enclosed trailers that they towed with room for 4 guys on stretchers plus medical/rescue teams. They were also used to transport supplies at a secret army post up there under the ice.there was an entire army base/city we had up there during the "cold war" of the 50s-60s

You know that you gotta clean the Driveway before you go and play with your Snowtoys. Here is a 454 c.i. Snowblower to do the job.
