Hello. I've come across the H.A.M.B. so many times in my search for flathead information, I figured I'd better join up and take some abuse along with the good information. Thank you sir, may I have another! I picked up a 1950 Ford F-1 from a fellow that pulled it out of a field nearby. It had been sitting there a long time. I've pulled it apart, but it has mostly been sitting as I haven't found a lot of time to work on it yet. (Sound familiar?) I did finally get the frame stripped. I just haven't painted it yet. The whole truck is pretty rough. Missing glass, seat, wiring . . that sort of stuff. It had the 8BA flathead in it, however, and I've been wanting to know if I could get it rebuilt for some time. It looked pretty bad, so I didn't have a lot of hope. BUT, I found out from the machine shop today that it is a good rebuilder! Now I have to figure out what to do with it. Stroker? 3/4 race cam? OR just rebuild it stock. Stock would take less of a chunk out of my limited funds. Anyway, howdy and I look forward to reading everyone's comments. I'll post a picture when I get back. I'm having to do some traveling this week. BrewskiF1
