June 8-10 2012 Lake Arrowhead Cl***ic Wooden Boatshow and cl***ic woodies parked along the lake. This is a GREAT event and it happens at a great place with a cool village to walk around and check out.
Look up the Nethercutt Museum in Sylmar, CA. It's a great collection of restored cl***ics from the teens, '20s and '30s. Also, the Petersen Museum on Wilshire Blvd. Also, Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake (Burbank) on Friday afternoons, late. Make sure you don't miss the L A Roadster Show in Pomona 6/16-17 for rods (and kustoms.)
Still working out where we are going ,go straight to San Fran first and to lake Arrowhead for wooden boat and woody show ,then LA roadster show and want to go Waldens then what ever else fits in,so far .cheers Mitch
What up man ? As soon as I get my overdrive in order.....im coming down.I really want to crush the streets of S.D. in my car.It hasn't been down there since DelMar 09.
If you come to San Francisco (don't call it San Fran) make sure you ride the Cable Cars & visit Alcatraz (book tickets in advance) and across the bay in Danville is the Blackhawk Museum, and right by the airport (SFO) is Roy Brizio Hot Rods, you can wander through the workshop for free, just ask at the counter. There's a bunch of stuff to see & do on the trip down to LA as well, if you take Hwy 1 along the coast, its a stunning drive. Stop at the Madonna Inn in S.L.O and check out the bathrooms (no...really) and have a burger at the Firestone Grill downtown. As previously mentioned, the Nethercutt Museum in Sylmar, CA, the NHRA & Petersen Museums in LA are also a must... That should keep you occupied for a day or two.... And thats without Disney....
HA HA I totally forgot about those bathrooms definitly worth a pee k lol!<label for="rb_iconid_10"></label>
This place real close to LAX airport, if you need to kill some time. http://www.automobiledrivingmuseum.org/
