    Hello HAMBers,

I am planning on welding some wide five snouts onto the 9inch rear, but this makes me wonder what will keep the floater axles from sliding back and forth, or is there some kind of stop in spool?

Secondly, has anyone had any grief from VDOT running wide five hubs and rims on a street car?

    Thank you.

i dont think you will have any problems with your dot. unless you have to got get regular vehical inspections. if there is no stop in the center diff then make sure your axle length is to where that almost toutch in the middle. some racing rxles have theded end in the center of the end of the axle. you can put a bolt in ther to take up some of the room.

Thanks that makes sense on the axles. Unfortunately we do have to get yearly inspections , but the good thing is the good ol' boys who do it probably do not care, I am more worried about getting it registered and ***led with them on.
