New look for my old roadster

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by roadstar, Feb 20, 2012.

  1. Changed the wheels, tires, removed the hood, painted the firewall, cleaned up the engine some and presto a different car.

I have put 10,000 miles on this little car, Well actually the wife and I, She actually drives it to work more than I do, in the last couple of years and it was time for a new look.

Plans are still to paint it someday soon but in the meantime we are gonna keep having fun with it.

And for the daily batch of new guys I included a before pic. And it's ok if anyone likes that version better.

Wow, what a great change. I love that era of builds more than any other... by country a mile. It looks so perfect...no kidding. I wish there were more on here. Nice car, Roadstar

Nice roadster either way. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite. The new incarnation definitely has more at***ude.

I always prefer a roadster with no hood. It just says "hot rod". Nice job on the transformation.

  10. Thanks guys. I really like how it came out.

Although still a cool car, I prefer the hood and blackwalls. See ya Saturday, Rudy!

I really like it. When I put ET's and pie crust on my Roadster we were joking the HAMB needed a wheel and tire exchange.

Either way...................cool little roadster. This is one of the unique aspects of a traditional roadster.................be '28/"29, '32 or '33 and later. With just the simple change of wheels and tires, fenders on or off, or color vs primer you can change the personality of the car wirthout going into anything that's more than skin deep.

It never ceases to amaze me what a big difference a tire/wheel change can do to your ride.

    Cool!
