Anybody know anything about these, or have tried them? Looking for a vintage/ industrial looking tire as I am going for a very "industrial" look for my '56 Customline and thought these had a great look to them with the deep ?dimples? in the sides but are they crap? Thanks in advance, the dude
Don't have any personal experience with them, but they also make a lot of military tread tires, and lots of them are running on restored jeeps and old Dodge military trucks.
I did some searching and saw that also (that they are popular with the military restorers) and that they did/do make a whitewall that some guys here used and were happy with I just don't recall being able to find a thread about the Highways are far as handling, reliability goes.
I have them on the back of my roadster. Kind of overkill in light of the weight of the roadster, tho, I have yet to put a lot of miles on them. They have a strong sidewall that is better suited to heavier vehicles, but should run fine the way I'm using them. They came off of eyeball's A sedan when he went to wide whites, but he had no complaint about them either. r
Dude- Those are truck tires- not only will they look/ ride/ handle bad on your '56 Ford, but you're gonna field alot of stupid questions about 'em every time you stop somewhere. My .02 -Betruger-
I have some similar truck tires on my roadster pickup & 40 coupe, 16 x 7.50LT They are 6 ply and way heavier than your typical firestones. Also they are not as ROUND or BALANCED as car tires. I like them though and don't give a rat's ass what anyone else says. TP
