Can anyone help me verify if this is a 32 Ford passenger car grille shell? I know it's rough, but I picked it up for $100 yesterday off of craigslist. It'll hang in the shop along with my collection of grilles.
Hang it on the wall? really? Some guys have all the luck...... To bad i can't find a $100 dollar deuce shell. I'd run that sumbitch..... Good find dude.
I knew it was well worth the $100 even with only seeing it with one small picture on craigslist. Maybe one day I'll find the rest of the car to go with it! But I can only dream. But for now it will join my T, two A's, 31 and 34 Chevrolet grille shells on my shop wall. And no, I didn't buy the headlights, he had one matched set, and about 4 singles, but I didn't know enough about them to buy them. Kind of kicking myself for not buying the matched pair. I didn't even ask what he wanted for them, but based on the price of the duece shell, I know they would have been well worth it.
And I wasn't even sure if it was a passenger car or truck, as he said his first vehicle that he fixed up was a 32 truck, and this grille must have come around about that time. Thanks guys!
No man, I'm a Chevy guy. But I really like the 32's, and feel like the duece grille shell and grill is the "Holy Grail" of early hot rod grille shells. I just wanted to be sure it was a passenger car and not a truck grille. Thanks for everyones comments.
yep...what you have there is worth $4-500...maybe more because it looks like the bottom is not rusted away.
