Been many, many years as a spectator, this will be my first time having my car actually there. Any tips you have would be appreciated.

I've been the last 10 or 12 years in a row as a spectator.

Putting my car in the show this year!!

If you're driving up 294, you'll want the River Road exit, stay left through the toll plaza to get to River Road, and then turn right onto River. You'll be on River Rd a few minutes. The convention center is on the left, but parking is on the right, which is across the street. Signs or cops should direct you. There's a big structure for parking. Take the elevators down to the floor which has the enclosed pedestrian bridge across the road. It's a pretty good walk from the structure through the bridge, through the hotel to finally get to the escalator which takes you down to the show level. There will probably be plenty of people to follow. For parking, I think you need to take your parking stub with you, then you pay near the elevators before leaving, unless they charge you the money up front before you park. Check out the map before you go - When you're leaving it's easier to go south on River to Balmoral Ave, which takes you to 294 again.

I forgot that a new exit recently opened up there - looks the Balmoral Ave exit. It might get you there easier than the River Road exit.

  5. I've showed in the past when it was at McCormick. Definitely bring some cleaning supplies, and a duster is mandatory. I used to bring in a cooler in the trunk with beverages, not sure if Rosemont will care. Of course, chairs. By Sunday you will practically sleeping in a chair.

McCormick was quite strict about how much gas you had in the car, I'm guessing Rosemont might do the same...

I will be there too, with the shop I work at. as long as you have a quarter tank or less your good, and be prepared to wait to get in. hopefully you can drve your car in, even if it just from the marshalling yard it will be easier. Rosemont is supposed to be alot better than McCormick, I hope.

just show up when the times on the sheet are there and be prepared to wait in the marshalling yard - dont freak out if it takes an hour or so to get you in the building.
Obviously if you dont trailer your ride you wont have as much drama getting in and out of the show.
    Seeya there

Rosemont is a joy compared to McCormick.
