Projects 1964 Sports Car Fuel & Gas Championship Entry *HELP*

Some pictures of my progress. Most of the major components will be used but all will need to be rebuilt! So on with the Frame!

Frame cut down to the useful bits, grinding the tid bits and getting out the catalog!

 

Oh yes, we have decided not to use the 55-57 GM rear end, we are looking for a Ford Maverick, Comet V8 8" rear end, or a 9" ford 56" wide rear end. This will be a bit more useful with 2.90 or so ratio. This stays in our era requirements and best for overall trac width. Anybody need a GM rear end? I don't know what ratio it is, the tag had nothing on it!? It is unfortunate the 327 block could be cracked, but we were are not sure. We have a couple more options before we have to do something drastic. Just can't see putting money in this block. Not sure if we even want to have it pressure tested. No to many vintage 327's out there. The inside of the block is very clean and had very few miles on it before it was parked some 4o years ago.
