Are these 265 SBC Harmonic Balancers?

    Sure looks like what I had on my '55 265 that was in my '56 from some years back. Long gone know though, so my memory of it is all I have.

    There's that style, and another style with a riveted on pulley.

    Mine has the pulley built into it.
     
  5. I bought some heads from Norm of Vintage Tin, yesterday. He is in need of a balancer, an I just couldn't find a picture.. anywhere! I appreciate it, guys!

    I'm having an Arnold moment, "Total Recall" yes mine had the pulley riveted also.

    I have a 56- 265 in my shop and the pulley is riveted on.

    Look like 265 or early 283 balancers--have a few in the shed as well if anybody needs one

    First engine I had to pull the lower hub on was a '55 265. The tapped holes for pulling it were straight across, so I bought a 2 bolt puller. Maybe this is the hub with the with the riveted pulley, don't remember that part.

    Good for just riding around. Not good for revving up. They will break your crank. And thats all I have to say about that.
