  1. Haha... I'm with ya pal. These Americans are crazy! :D We have no use for guns in New Zealand... 'cept maybe for duck-shooting.

Want to absolutely guarantee that your home/car will be broken into?? Let people know or even suspect you have handguns. Sorry folks you won't be there when it happens. Ask your local Cops.

  7. You've got to be shitting me! She wanted you to find a place in your own house and hide?? Screw that! un-freakin-believable!!

Oh man, I really should live in a state that allows CC and has the castle doctrine. That's probably where I belong.

Only once have I ever had to pull a gun. Years ago, the cops were chasing three guys who bailed out of a car that they were pursuing. The guys decided to hide in my back yard until they became my prisoners at gunpoint. I didn't know the cops were after them. I just saw these three hinky looking guys in my back yard. As the cops walked up, I stepped back and laid my gun on the ground. The cops took them into custody and never even said a word about my gun. The cops came back later in the day and took a statement from me. Turns out one guy was wanted in a homicide investigation.

I feel bad for you foreigners that gave up your right to defend yourselves. You're at the mercy of everyone, including your own government.

It's a sad fact of life that the world is a different place than it was just a few years ago. When I was younger a tire tool behind the seat was comforting, now I carry a .45 Sig Sauer and have another one in the console of my truck.

In Texas you have the right to "concealed carry" but you do have to keep it concealed. I would drape a small towel or shop rag over the holster on the trans tunnel.

I see the smiley and assume you are joking... an SA revolver for defense? Yah it would look good, but I'd rather have a semi cocked or a DAO.

Have had a long time love affair with the 1911 that my dad carried in the B-17 he piloted over Germany for 25 missions and right after that at the controls of a B-29 doing in the fanatics of the rising sun for the duration of WWII. Think of him every time I slide a clip into the grip. My wife shoots a tighter group than I do with it and she is devastating with her 9mm Glock.

    i carry one of these.
    http://www.serbu.com/top/superShorty.php

it's based on a Mossberg 500 and is in the same class as my madusa revolver, meaning
it's legal to carry and i've got my ccl .. so you figure.. what's the spread on 3in buck
from a 6.5in barrel? fuckin wide , i can shoot it one handed (kicks like ten mules) if need be, but if i pull it.. chances are i won't need it.. it'll change the mind of the hardest muggers,

intemidation value ... it's a good thing. mostly cause it HURTS to shoot that damn gun.

Everyone in my family carries legally, mostly glock's. just qualified at in-service, 98, not bad for a one eyed fat man.

Guess I'd have to agree on that one.
Wonder if James Bond had a car holster in the Aston?

Of course, CC can help responsibly protect our Hot Rods and families on the road too.

My take on CCW. Very for it. My advise for anyone who wants a gun to carry. Smaller is better. I hear it all the time on here. I'm 6'13" tall and weigh 250 and I don't fit in a model T so don't get one. With that in mind. Why would you want a 44 magnum with a 12" barrel to try and conceal. The gun weighs five pounds and is huge. If you have a shirt which doesn't fit you, will not wear it so if you have a pistol that doesn't fit, you will not carry it. Just my advice. And it is better to be a good witness then a hero sometimes. Always remember, if you are shooting they are ducking and giving you time to get out of a dangerous situation and the suspect is not saying to himself....holy crap those are 45 slugs coming my way. BTW I've carried a gun everyday of my life for the last 13 years and I wear a bullet proof vest to work to help and make sure I make it home at night. When I'm not at work I have a Glock 27 in my boot or on my side. Its a small gun so it fits in my model T just fine. lol.

Sounds like all you folks in the good old U.K. need to buy guns (on the quiet) and then, all begin carrying one fine day. What could the "authorities" do? Nothing, except be concerned for their own safety. I keep my little Ruger and a couple of 14 round clips handy, and pray that i never need it. Better tried by twelve than carried by 6. Best regards, from Alabama.
